The creator of Maktub, Yasmin Valibhoy, comes from a Singaporean business family that is regarded as one of Singapore's founding pioneers.

Yasmin has lived in many different countries, including Dubai, the UK, Africa, and India. She has been actively involved in international business in a variety of sectors.

Yasmin has always had a fast-paced lifestyle and thinks that art is like a ticket into a large complex filled with tremendous feelings where even the most difficult things become easier to comprehend. Recently, Yasmin began teaching herself resin art methods with the goal of assisting others in realizing the magnificent beauty that we should always keep close at hand.
